# Adding AI interviews to the hiring platform you already use

> You don't have to change your ATS or careers page to add automated first-round interviews. How an API and webhooks connect AI interviews to your existing hiring platform, and what your team sees at each step.

Most dealer groups already have a way to collect applicants: an applicant tracking system (ATS), a careers page on the dealer website, a job board account, or an HR module in their payroll system. Switching all of that just to add first-round interviews isn't realistic, and it shouldn't be necessary.

Here's how AI interviews can plug into what you already have, and what the process looks like for your team and your candidates.

## Three ways to set it up

**1. Connect it to your existing platform (API and webhooks).**
Your ATS or careers site sends each new applicant (name, contact details, the job and the resume) to the interview platform through its API. The candidate gets an invitation to interview by phone or on the web. When the interview is finished, the results (score, recommendation, summary, transcript and recording link) come back to your system automatically through a webhook, so your team keeps working where they already work.

**2. Use the interview platform's own workspace.**
If you don't have an ATS, or you'd rather not connect one yet, you can add applicants by hand or by uploading resumes, and manage jobs, interviews and scorecards in one place.

**3. Both.**
Some groups connect their main ATS for high-volume roles and use the workspace directly for a store that hires differently. Either way, the interview and the scorecard are the same.

## What a connected flow looks like

1. A technician applies through your careers page. Your ATS records the application as usual.
2. The ATS sends the applicant and the job to the interview platform through its API.
3. The applicant receives a link to book or start an interview, day or night, or a phone call at the time they choose.
4. The AI interviewer asks about their experience, your must-have questions and role-specific technical questions, and answers basic questions about the job.
5. A webhook tells your ATS the interview is complete, with the score, recommendation and links to the transcript and recording.
6. Your service manager opens the shortlist and decides who to invite for a shop tour.

## Questions to ask any vendor

- **Authentication:** does the API use standard OAuth credentials, with separate test (sandbox) and live keys?
- **Webhooks:** are they signed so your system can verify they're genuine, and are they retried if your system is down?
- **Events:** can you be told when an interview is scheduled, completed, cancelled or failed, not just when it's done?
- **Data:** where is it stored, can you export or delete an applicant's data, and is it ever used to train AI models?
- **Effort:** how long does a typical connection take, and who helps your IT team or ATS provider?

## How Cenivoz connects

Cenivoz has a REST API with OAuth client credentials and separate sandbox and production keys. It can create jobs and applicants, upload resumes, schedule interviews and return results and transcripts. Signed webhooks report events such as interview.scheduled, interview.completed, interview.cancelled, interview.failed and applicant.resume_parsed. Or use the Cenivoz hiring workspace on its own.
